HBCU Pride Nation President Calls Organizations, Alumni and Companies to Support Jawanza Ingram
By: HBCU Pride Nation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Nov. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Travis P. Jackson, President & CEO of HBCU Pride Nation issued the following statement on the incident concerning the unfair and harsh eviction of Jawanza Ingram by Howard University:

"A school that attempts to teach and discipline its students through the desertion and abandonment of the ones that trust them, the most, is a dictatorial and heartless society with four walls and a textbook.

The hashtag, #HomelessAtHoward, is a disgrace to the community of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and is an embarrassment to the legacy that is 148 years strong at one of our nation’s oldest, and strongest, HBCUs.

Jawanza, please know that our community stands behind you, supports you and has your back. With this statement, we activate a HBCU Call To Action.

If you are in the Washington, DC (Metro) area and are a property owner, former Howard Student, Bison or Concerned Friend with adequate access to immediate housing, please contact us at pr@hbcupridenation.com. Family, we need you.”
