Follow on Google News | USMEA Receives State of Nevada Governors ProclamationBy: USMEA WHEREAS, Americans are served and defended every day by the dedicated men and women of the armed forces working tirelessly to keep our nation safe and free; and WHEREAS, veterans and active duty service members have taken a solemn oath to defend our nation, selfless risking their lives in service to the people of the United States of America and those around the world; and WHEREAS, veterans and active duty service members exemplify the highest ideals of service, sacrifice, and patriotism, performing their duties with honor and steadfast commitment; and WHEREAS, the continued services of America's military and veteran communities safeguard our system of government and the institutions of democracy that ensure the liberties and freedoms we enjoy as citizens of the greatest nation on earth; and WHEREAS, the United States Military Educators Association (USMEA) supports critical efforts to provide education, employment, and job training resources to our nation's military and veteran communities; WHEREAS, the Governor has established the strategic priority of ensuring that the State of Nevada is the most veteran-friendly state in the nation by expanding the provision of the essential services and resources that are rightly owed to America's veterans and heroes in uniform: "NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRIAN SANDAVAL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 3, 2015 as a day in honor of USMEA MILITARY HEROES DAY".
