New Jersey Business Incubation Network to host InBIA Entrepreneurship Training Institute

Entrepreneurial Support Professionals in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States Have the Opportunity to Expand Knowledge Base with Robust Practitioner-Based Education Courses, December 15–17, 2015
ORLANDO, Fla. - Nov. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- The International Business Innovation Association (InBIA), a non-profit organization and global advocate for stakeholders within entrepreneur-driven economic ecosystems, has partnered with the New Jersey Business Incubation Network (NJBIN) to bring its world-recognized training programs to New Jersey. This regional training event will take place at the Rutgers EcoComplex in Bordentown, N.J., December 15-17, 2015, and will offer two days of educational courses for entrepreneurial support professionals, as well as a one-day course for entrepreneurs and/or students.

InBIA has a robust catalog of practitioner-based courses that assist professionals working in business incubators, accelerators, coworking spaces, maker spaces, corporate innovation scouting, and similar programs, with developing and managing successful entrepreneurial support programs. InBIA's courses are curated curriculums developed by industry practitioners with expected outcomes, and include customized workbooks, presentations and other training materials.

“Entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs are the change-makers in our economy, and are creating new industries, new businesses, and new jobs,” says Lou Cooperhouse, president of NJBIN, director of Rutgers Food Innovation Center, and a board member at InBIA.  “As someone who has been a recipient of InBIA training, and served as an instructor, I wanted to find a way to make this critically-needed entrepreneurship training easier to access for my industry peers in the northeastern US region. The Rutgers EcoComplex location is an easy drive or train ride from as far south as Washington DC to as far north as the New England states. This special training event will be a great opportunity for career development closer to home.”

Two of the offered courses for entrepreneurial support professionals are requirements of InBIA’s Business Incubation Management Certificate. The other two courses are facilitator certificates, which enable participants to then deploy those course trainings to the startups within their own programs. The last day of the agenda features a special course being offered to entrepreneurs or students, providing them with business model fundamentals and best practices.

The course schedule for the upcoming Rutgers event is as follows (all courses run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and include lunch):

December 15, 2015:

·         Operations and Sustainable Financial Models for Entrepreneurship Platforms

Kirstie Chadwick, president and CEO of InBIA says, “Regional training events are important to the health and growth of the entrepreneurial support ecosystem, which is why we plan to have several of these events across the globe each year. Doing so enables us to deploy these critical trainings to those who may not be able to participate during our two annual training events. We are very excited about this partnership opportunity with NJBIN and Rutgers University, and look forward to bringing other courses in our catalog to New Jersey in the future.”
