Known as The Productivity Pro, Laura Stack's latest blog raises questions about team culture and overcoming the status quo.

Stack's latest blog discusses how giving power among the ranks to question the status quo will improve company culture and make true leaders shine.

"We have to think about what we're willing to address. How far are we willing to go to shake things up and question how and why operational procedures are in place? In my blog, I use a few examples of the power of being part of a team that has authority to improve productivity and customer loyalty," says Stack.

According to a 2014 Harvard Business Review (https://hbr.org/2014/02/how-intuit-innovates-by-challenging-itself/) article, Brad Smith, President and CEO of Intuit, searches for what he calls "golden questions" he uses to define a new "Grand Challenge." These questions vary according to the project, whether it's how to create a finished tax return in 10 minutes (now answered with the smartphone based SnapTax app) or how to become the top home mortgage lender in the country. "I want people off all levels and professions to question the status quo. Why should something be changed and how should it be changed. Looking inward is the best way to address external growth and customer or client happiness. Doing things because they are procedure is not the best reason to continue to do them. Growth has to be constant, as my blog points out," finished Stack.
