Distillery 291 Wins People’s Choice Award at Colorado “Still on the Hill” Grand Tasting

Colorado Bourbon Whiskey Earns Gold Medal;
THE DECC Whiskey Liqueur Earns Silver Medal
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Nov. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- For the second year in a row, Distillery 291 won the coveted People’s Choice award at the sixth annual Still on the Hill Craft Spirits Festival in Breckenridge, Colorado. The festival featured 35 craft distillers at the sold-out Grand Tasting on October 24, 2015. Distillery 291 also earned a Gold Medal for its Colorado Bourbon Whiskey and a Silver Medal for THE DECC, its citrus clove whiskey liqueur. The spirits were judged in a double blind taste test by an esteemed panel of industry experts. The awards were based on the quality of each spirit with regard to taste, smell, integrity and smoothness and not as a ranking of spirits against one another.

“I’m as proud of our team as I am of our whiskey and our Colorado roots,” said Michael Myers, founder of Distillery 291. “The Breckenridge Restaurant Association puts on a great event, and we are honored to be a part of it.”

Distillery 291 is preparing for its biggest holiday season yet and invites whiskey lovers to experience its spirits and cocktails at upcoming events and the Distillery 291 Tasting Room in Colorado Springs, CO every Thursday through Saturday from 5pm – 11pm.
