On a vibrant September morning, in beautiful Historic Downtown Buford, GA Planet Ballroom opened the doors to its latest studio. “We are excited to be part of the downtown community. It’s a gorgeous, historic community with a deep artistic influence; two things I absolutely love. Buford reminds me of home and I am thrilled to bring something so special to the community,” said Miriam.

Miriam has created an environment that she hopes will become the highlight of our students’ week and a place that they love learning to dance at as much as she adores teaching them.

Nothing brings me greater joy than to watch the development of my students and to see the joy and sense of accomplishment on their faces,” Miriam mentioned as a huge smile developed.

Everything is layered which makes it fast, fun and effective! “I cherish my time spent watching my students conquering goals, learning from each other and enjoying the process. These are my favorite moments every day,” Miriam stated.

Whether it through personal lessons, group classes or Planet Ballroom’s exclusive fitness classes, Miriam is working to bring all the magic of dancing to her students daily. There are so many diverse class offerings at Planet Ballroom it’s sometimes hard to choose a favorite. After much deliberation, Miriam chose the PB Fit Burn class as one of her favorites! She has absolutely fallen in love with the positive impact this class is making on both herself and her students. “I love the energy, the music and the opportunity to lead a class that is so positive and healthy for so many people. The energy of the class is completely thrilling,” mentioned Miriam.

PB Fit Burn is one of the various offerings at Planet Ballroom. The class is a high intensity cardio class with amazing music and energy. It’s great to burn away those calories without realizing you are working out. To keep the class fresh, the music is handpicked each week by Miriam and is constantly changing.

Just by spending a short time with Miriam one can tell she is truly living out her passion daily. Her desire to create precious moments for her students drives her. “Often I catch a glimpse of my couples laughing together, congratulating one another, or singing their favorite song as they dance together out on our dance floor. These moments are absolutely priceless to me and I want to create as many of these for our students as I possibly can,” Miriam beamed.

Miriam feels so fortunate to inspire dancers daily but she also notes that she has been deeply touched by those who have inspired her. One of her greatest inspirations is Planet Ballroom’s very own Elizabeth Minieri. Elizabeth is a phenomenal dancer and one of the most positive people one would ever meet. “She is always able to see a bright side and will always make the most of any situation. You would never know if she had a bad day because she always pours her heart and soul into the people around her regardless of the situation. That attitude has definitely helped to shape my teaching style. Above all the purpose is to have fun. The more of a positive, exciting and fun atmosphere I can provide the more opportunity I have to help changed students’ lives and help them achieve their goals both on and off the dance floor,” stated Miriam.
