Once readily available and easily accessible pulses to all citizens of India have become a Buzz food item and talk of the town. The production graph is downwards and prices are upwards sloping indicating a stressful situation leading to deep holes in shallow pockets of masses.

In such stressful circumstances which are artificial in nature without any ray of hope to tackle in near future from any corner of state machinery in place. The onus lies on the so called victims of the new age RAVAANA to deal with it, in independent capacity and resulting collectively. Daaley Khani bandh karo… bandh karo.. bandh karo …. [Stop eating pulses] is call of the hour and the masses should be morally duty bound to pro actively participate in this social venture to make it success. The fountain of success will sprinkle on participants and the spectators without discrimination.

With spiraling prices of Dal, reminding of an Era of Onion which is recurring in nature without any logical solution. However with such situations the generous face of political leaders visible on roadside to distribute either at low price or free of cost the Buzz item of the town. Dal is drawing attention right across from all corners of India. Days are not far when these readily and cheaply available food items becomes the status symbol over powering chicken, mutton or controversial Beef.

This reminds me of Swadeshi movement launched by our beloved Mahatama Gandhi to encourage the use of swadeshi items and discourage videshi (foreign) items as a tool to neutralize the ever growing influence of foreign goods being dumped in pre independent India.

Let’s draw some source of inspiration and essence of it to replicate what our father of nation foresees as a solution. Replication doesn’t require much of a sacrifice or physical action rather channelization of energy which is the need of an hour corresponding to the spirit of swadeshi movement.
