English Breakfast Society Pay Homage To The Traditional English Breakfast With Fundraiser

HERTFORD, U.K. - Oct. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- The English Breakfast Society is proud to announce the launch of their Kickstarter fundraising campaign to raise funds to publish the very first illustrated guide to the traditional full English breakfast.

The English Breakfast Handbook is intended to be the definitive guide to the traditional English breakfast, researched and written by the English Breakfast Society.  The Society want to raise funds in order to commission custom illustrations and artwork for their book and also to make the artwork available for use by journalists and the general public.

The primary goal of their project is to create highly original English breakfast artwork, which visually documents a grand old tradition using custom illustrations and also to provide a comprehensive guide to the English breakfast, its ingredients, cuts of meat, recipes, preparation and serving suggestions, providing a clear roadmap for creating authentic English breakfasts.

Because the EBS is a historical Learned Society of Fellows, they also have well researched historical stories to tell about the rich history of the English breakfast, from the days of the gentry, through the Victorian era, when the Victorians first perfected the art of taking breakfast the English way, through two World Wars until present day.

They intend to source their artwork from 99designs so that project backers can participate in the creative process and publish their book using the popular Blurb publishing service.

The Chairman of the English Breakfast Society (Mr Guise Bule) said today “The English Breakfast Handbook is our attempt to create a beautifully designed and illustrated book that pays homage to a much loved and very old English tradition”.

He went on to say “We are reaching out to English breakfast fans everywhere and asking for their help in creating a book that lovingly portrays a true icon of Englishness”.

The English Breakfast Society is a learned society of Fellows and a non-profit organization, run by volunteers dedicated to the history and heritage of the traditional full English breakfast.
