Data Center Infrastructure Management Leader Modius included in Gartner's latest Magic Quadrant for DCIM

SAN FRANCISCO - Oct. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Modius, Inc., a recognized leader in data center infrastructure management solutions, today announced that the research firm, Gartner, Inc. in its latest Magic Quadrant for Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), featured the Modius OpenData DCIM solution in its coverage of the leading companies in this market.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant is the culmination of research in a specific market designed to provide a wide-angle view of the relative supplier positions within that market. The vendors chosen by Gartner to participate are grouped into four categories, (Quadrants), and then ranked for their completeness of vision and their ability to execute on their vision. Modius received high rankings for both vision and execution in their quadrant.

In this latest release of the Magic Quadrant, only fifteen (15) vendors, (down from 17 in 2014), were selected from a very broad list of identified DCIM solution and service providers. For inclusion on the Magic Quadrant, Gartner required that selected vendors must have a strong market position, mature products and operations, global deployments, and consensus between the analysts that the vendor was viable enough to support Gartner clients. In addition to these inclusion criteria, each vendor was required to submit a demo video of their ability to complete DCIM functionality with their software. After completing all of these requirements, Modius was praised for its ability to provide real-time measurement and analysis of data center infrastructure, vendor-neutral monitoring and alerting, and having strong multisite visualization and scalability. The Modius OpenData solution also includes many of the DCIM features that Gartner listed as highly desirable, including predictive analytics, sensor-based real-time monitoring, and related capabilities like thermal mapping.
