By: Sierra Tucson “Joining me will be Sierra Tucson Family Program Manager Michael Gaziano, MSW, LCSW,” Vinck said. “Together, we will discuss the differences between family therapy and family education; stages of change for families; boundaries, self-care, and communication strategies; enabling behavior; and reasonable goals for families that are in recovery.” In addition to overseeing the clinical staff and program development at Sierra Tucson, Vinck brings 10-plus years of experience in family education and therapy to the speaker lineup. Gaziano, who joined Sierra Tucson in 2008, has more than 25 years of clinical expertise. The duo will draw from their knowledge and experience, as well as the Sierra Tucson Model of integrative therapies and evidence-based practices, to explore family recovery and healing strategies. Featuring presentations from renowned professionals and authors in the field of mental health, the three-day conference will identify specific diagnostic and treatment approaches; counseling skills and modalities; and the symptoms and characteristics of behavioral and addictive disorders. Attendees can earn up to 19 CE credits, and a networking topic luncheon will be included. “The conference provides another avenue in which Sierra Tucson can educate and collaborate with behavioral health professionals.
