By: Sherman Theater Heading into its eighth year of production, Labor of Love USA, is set to launch its largest production of its annual, "Change, A New Christmas Carol", with an incredible 3 shows this year. To accomplish this, Labor of Love is working closely with Lorna O'farrell, VP of Operations at the Sherman Theater." We are so excited about this event this year, particularly because those businesses or individuals who want to sponsor "Change, A New Christmas Carol", can supply tickets to the needy and under priveledged individuals within our community. Sponsors have a unique opportunity to support not only those families in need of a little holiday spirit with this culturally uplifting show, but also support community theater, artists development and our historic non profit theater." Labor of Love has also enlisted Gil Coronado, of CILA llc Management to help share the message of "Change". "Last year I had the opportunity to see "Change", and was amazed to see a show right here in the Poconos that has become a tradittion to so many already in our community. When asked to support this show, I said yes without a doubt. This show reminded me on my youth, when my parents took me to see holidays show at Avery Fisher Hall in NYC, which we saw year after year." "Change, A New Christmas Carol" is set to take place December 11th, 12th, and 13th. This inspiring holiday tale is an original playwright, that features an animated cast, humor, and enchanting musical performances, that is sure to capture the true spirit of Christimas" "We didn't want to do the traditional Christmas play, so we decided to write something ourselves" says Robin Smith, Music Director of "Change". "Holidays can be a difficult time for so many, so we wanted to create a story where people would leave our show feeling uplifted." "My wife and I have attended the Change" The story unfolds in the fictional town of Stroudsville, with everyone caught up in the mayhem of the holidays, Claire, a neurotic owner of Starcups, prays and hopes that the townspeople will see the true meaning of Christimas.
