KERA’s State of the Arts Discussion Series Invites Dallas Chamber Symphony Conductor Richard McKay

DALLAS - Oct. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- On Thursday, October 29, The Dallas Chamber Symphony’s Conductor and Artistic Director Richard McKay will be a featured panelist for the State of the Arts discussion series. Presented by KERA, State of the Arts: Creating New Work will address the subject of commissioning and creating new art and performance pieces. The event begins at 8:00 at the Dallas Museum of Art and is free to the public.

Joining Mr. McKay on the panel will be Ben Stevenson, Artistic Director of the Texas Ballet Theater and Writer Shay Youngblood. The Discussion’s host will be KERA Reporter Jerome Weeks. KERA’s State of the Arts is an innovative series that explores the creative process and the nature of live performance. In its sixth season, State of the Arts engages Dallas’s key artistic leaders, artists, and special guests in thought-provoking conversations about the arts and cultural landscape of North Texas.
