FMG signs partnership agreement with Airports Company South Africa

MUNICH - Oct. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Munich Airport adds to its list of airport partners

Munich Airport (FMG) and Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) plan to engage in wide-ranging cooperative activities in the future. The companies have announced the signing of a partnership agreement covering a regular exchange of information and best practices in such areas as customer service, quality management, consulting projects, commercial activities, IT systems, property development, staff development, airport security and environmental protection. Activities such as an exchange program for staff and management are planned in order to give life to the cooperation.

Airport Company South Africa is the first African partner of FMG, which has similar agreements in play with Nagoya, Japan, Beijing, Denver in the USA, Singapore and the airports in Thailand. ACSA operates nine international airports in South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Like Munich Airport, ACSA is currently planning several projects to increase capacity. "We're delighted to have gained this strong partner on the African continent," said Dr. Michael Kerkloh, the president and CEO of Munich Airport. "Our cooperation with ACSA will yield important knowledge and ideas on the airport business in Africa, and I'm confident that our partner will also benefit through the exchange visits to Munich."
