BB&T- Oswald Trippe and Company Receives Safeco Insurance Award and a $3,000 Donation to DVIC

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Oct. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- BB&T Oswald Trippe and Company is the recipient of a Safeco Insurance Make More Happen Award for its volunteer service with Disabled Veterans Insurance Careers (DVIC). The award includes a $3,000 donation from Safeco Insurance for DVIC and entry in the Safeco Make More Happen Contest. The online contest runs from Oct. 26 to Nov.16 and the top three teams with the most votes will win additional donations from Safeco; $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second and $3,000 for third. If total votes in the online contest reach a 28,000 goal, Safeco will give away an additional $500 to each of the 33 charities in the contest, for a total of $16,500. Online votes can be cast in the Safeco Insurance Make More Happen Contest once every 24 hours from 1 p.m. Oct. 26 until 1 p.m. Nov. 16.

BB&T- Oswald Trippe and Company was selected for the Safeco Make More Happen Award based on a photo and application demonstrating its commitment to DVIC, which trains and educates disabled veterans to have fulfilling careers in the insurance industry.

This past summer BB&T- Oswald Trippe and Company volunteered more than 80 hours of time in order to remodel the new DVIC office space. The remodeling project included providing supplies for the office, carpentry and helping DVIC move from their old location to the new office.
