Follow on Google News | Wildlife Artist Crystal Orlando To Be Featured at Austin Charity EventTexas Native to share the spotlight with four other Lone Star artists.
By: Cross-Post LLC Crystal Orlando is one of the top graphite (pencil) artist's in the country and her work is carried in the National Museum of Wildlife Art store in Jackson, Wyoming. She is considered the Master of Emotion as her wildlife drawings bring her subjects to life on paper emphasizing movement, weight and feeling. A Texas native, Crystal often depicts wildlife found here but has done considerable work with Buffalo, Elk and other large game animals in Colorado and Wyoming. "I was able to get within a few yards of a herd of massive wild Bison in Wyoming to take pictures before the beasts let me know who was boss and I quickly retreated. That collection of photos have been the subject of numerous drawings over the years. Longhorn Steer are also a favorite of mine for obvious reasons." She said. Four other artists will appear with Crystal to display their work and answer questions. Johnnie Feelgood, Katie Sutton, Orlando Sanchez and John-Pierre Verdijo. All art is for sale and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity. The historic Brass House is a Jazz legend in Austin and is located at 115 San Jacinto 512-296-2188. About Crystal Orlando A native of Texas, Crystal is 35 years old and a full-time mom and artist. She was inspired by her mother, a commercial artist who started to teach her to draw at age 2. She studied Equine Science at North Central Texas College and trained horses for twelve years giving her a solid understanding of large animal anatomy. Crystal's talents are multifaceted. Besides her breathtaking wildlife art she creates jewelry, oil paintings, sculpture and home accents. She lives in Belton, Texas. About The Octopus Club The Octopus Club is a grassroots, volunteer fundraising arm of AIDS Services of Austin dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the Paul Kirby Emergency Fund through annual events and parties.
