Bandits Week 8 Schedule, 4th Grade Day, Trick or Treat, and a 7th Grade Triplehader

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. - Oct. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- The Wisconsin All-American Youth Football League has finalized and published the AAYFL Week 8 schedule for games played on October 31, 2015.   The final two weeks of the season pose scheduling challenges for the league including site conflicts with the WIAA High School Football playoffs, the AAYFL 8th grade playoffs, and ensuring that repeat games between two teams in the same season are avoided.

TRICK OR TREAT

The final week of the season will be another busy one for the Bandits program.   For the second consecutive season the Bandits are inviting all children up to 12 years old to come in their Halloween costume and to come on the field at halftime of each game (1 trip per day please) to receive a Trick or Treat gift from the Bandits!

2015 OYF 4th GRADE DAY

• Registration and Brief Program Overview:  All fourth grade parents are invited to attend a brief meeting at 11:30am in the pavilion at Ski Slide Park to learn more about the program and get answers to any questions they may have.  Registration form may be downloaded from:  http://assets.ngin.com/attachments/document/0085/6805/2015_Fourth_Grade_Day_Registration.docx

• All fourth grade Oconomowoc Park and Rec Department and Pabst Farms YMCA flag football players and their families are invited to attend a 5th grade game as guests of the Bandits.

• All registered players will be assigned a 7th grade Bandit host for the day.  The host will provide a brief tour, share his experiences as a Bandit, and join his guest in VIP seating for the game.

• All 4th grade students that attend will be entered for raffle prizes as well as receive a complimentary meal and drink from the Bandits concessions stand!

2015 YEAR END BLOW-OUT SALE

As this is the final home date for the 2015 season, OYF will be conducting a huge blowout sale of existing inventory at rock bottom prices.   This inventory will include legacy jerseys, helmets, sweatshirts, tee-shirts, shorts, socks, and other various items.  Prices will be set and displayed on Saturday morning.

GAME SCHEDULE

Here is the breakdown of the schedule for all nine teams for the final week of the season as well as any highlights/notes for each of the games.  All games are played on October 31, 2015.

HOME GAMES:

9:00am Franklin Gold (4-3) at 8 Bandits Purple (2-5)
– This will be the final game for head coach Larry Williams, the 8th grade Purple players, coaches, and their families.   We will announce all of the players and coaches and invite them to run onto the field at Ski Slide Park for the final time as Oconomowoc Bandits.

10:30am Franklin Gold (0-5-1) at 7 Bandits Purple (6-1) – After dropping their opener, 7 Bandits Purple looks to close the season with their seventh consecutive win.   Last week the 7 Bandits Purple team made history by becoming the first OYF team to have their game broadcast live over the Internet in what will become a weekly tradition for the 2016 season.

12:00pm Hartford (4-3) at 5 Bandits Purple (3-4) – The 5 Bandits Purple team will have an opportunity to win their fourth game of the season as they host the Hartford Orioles.

1:30pm Pewaukee Red (5-2) at 7 Bandits Black (4-3) – After losing their first three games, the 7 Bandits Black will be aiming for their fifth consecutive win.

3:00pm Lake Country Black (3-4) at 7 Bandits Gold (4-3)– In the final game of the 7th grade tripleheader, the 7th grade Gold team will attempt to collect their fifth win of the season.   This also will be the final game of the 2015 season.

AWAY GAMES:

9:00am 8 Bandits Gold (2-5) at Brookfield Central (5-2)
- This will be the final game for head coach Tim Nelson, the 8th grade Gold players, coaches, and their families.

9:00am 6 Bandits Gold (3-4) at Lake Country Red (3-4) (Woodside Elementary, Sussex) – The 6 Bandits Gold will have an early start time as they close their 2015 season at a neutral site against Lake Country Red.  This will be the 6 Bandits Gold second meeting of the season against the Chiefs program.   The Bandits dropped a closely contested 19-12 game against Lake Country White on October 3 at Arrowhead High School.

12:00pm 6 Bandits Purple (5-2) at Grafton (4-2-1) – The 6 Bandits Purple will try to rebound from only their second loss of the season in a closely fought 12-6 game with the Sussex Gold Jayhawks.

1:30pm 5 Bandits Gold (1-6) at New Berlin Eisenhower (0-7) – The 5 Bandits Gold will try to carry over momentum from their first win of the season last week against Mukwonago Blue.   Proving the cyclical nature of youth football, 5 Bandits Gold Assistant Coach and OYF Player Coach and Development Officer, Brian Wraalstad, will finish his 2015 season against the same opponent as his 2014 8th grade Bandits Gold team.   In the program’s first playoff game since 2004, the Bandits, under head coach Wraalstad, were defeated by the Generals 8-0 in the South Conference Championship game held at Rux Stadium.  The Generals hosted the 2014 AAYFL Grand Championship game the next week and lost to the Oshkosh West Flyers 8-0.
