Follow on Google News | David Helps Bring The Dental Playbox Project To LeedsBy: Action for Sick Children Thirty six years old David, who lives in Guiseley near Leeds with his wife and their 11 month old son, was welcomed to the charity as its first Yorkshire-based facilitator by ASC's chief executive Val Jackson. Speaking from her Stockport HQ Miss Jackson said, “I am delighted to welcome David to our team and look forward to working alongside him. I’m sure he will find our work fascinating and rewarding.” David, who will be involved in the national charity’s hugely successful ‘Dental Playbox’ project which uses play, fun, laughter, games and puppets to teach youngsters the basics of dental hygiene said he was looking forward to working on the project. “Introducing the Dental Playbox project to children across Yorkshire is the keypart of my role,” he said. “However, working with children is something I have enjoyed for some time having worked in special needs schools and in the health and education sector since leaving university.” In addition to working with Action for Sick Children, David will also be spending much more time at home with his own son following his wife’s decision to return to full-time work. “I’m delighted to be part of the Action for Sick Children team and am really looking forward to using my skills for the benefit of children,” he added.
