PLANO, Texas - Oct. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Art in Motion, Moving to a Cure will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015, 7:00pm at the Noah Event Center in Plano, TX and will benefit The American Cancer Society.  The annual event will be a little different this year as it will be a browsing opportunity to preview various art groups, one of which is Crosswinds Jazz Band, while grazing the hor’dourves.  The evening will begin at 7:00pm and because of the format, a limited number of tickets will be sold.

Carrollton Community Chorus is s group which allows those who are not professionally trained to sing, only criteria is that you love to sing.  Created in January 2015 with a group of 30 members, the chorus has grown to a group of 45 members.  The group meets weekly to practice and perfect the pitch of each member, preparing for performances at special events and concerts throughout the city and North Texas.

Singing a tribute to veterans and their families, each branch of the military will be honored as their song is sung.  The audience will be able to show their support to favored branches or all of the military represented.

Allison Woodford, Chair for the event says, “Carrollton Community Chorus will bring an appreciation and acknowledgment to our military and veteran families.  Many of our military suffer from cancer and or have family members who have been affected and this tribute is for them, expressing gratefulness through music.”

Journey into an interactive night filled with lights, sound, movement, artistry and glitz as you enjoy a variety of food and beverages in a cocktail party-like setting. Prepare to be mesmerized by the creativity of musicians, movement performers and visual artists chosen to intrigue and inspire your senses.  Numerous local art groups will perform through out the evening showcasing each individual expression of artistic ability.  Survivors and caretakers of various types of cancer will present throughout the evening their experiences and share highlights of their journey.

Sponsorships may be purchased at various levels.  Packages range from $10,000 to $500, and more information is available at Art In Motion (http://gala.acsevents.org/site/TR?fr_id=69561&pg=entry).  All sponsorship commitments must be in American Cancer Society offices by October 14,2015 to ensure recognition in printed program.
