LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Oct. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Lebanon will be rockin’ around the Christmas tree the first weekend of November during its new event, Winter Market, which includes a downtown street fair, Holiday Open House, contests and more. See details on the “Events” page at www.VisitLebanonKy.com.

No place like Lebanon for the holidays

Kicking off this new event will be a Holiday Open House, 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, with all of Lebanon’s downtown businesses open and celebrating the Christmas season with giveaways and holiday shopping deals. Several downtown restaurants will also participate.

A downtown street fair will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, with live music and a DJ, plus craft booths, food booths, a beer garden and antiques booths. This full-day festival will take place from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Lebanon’s downtown shops will be open for more holiday shopping, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8.

During Winter Market, there will be a holiday wreath decorating contest with prizes: first prize is $100; second prize is $50; and third prize is a $40 gift certificate to Willie Martin’s, an interior design shop with home furnishings, accessories and gifts.

There will also be a bake-your-favorite-holiday-dessert contest. The only rule? Maker’s Mark bourbon must be an ingredient in the recipe. This contest will be held at Shiners, a new downtown restaurant partnering with Lebanon’s Limestone Branch Distillery and featuring “moonshine” specialties.

Entry forms for the dessert and wreath making contests are available here: http://VisitLebanonKy.com/Calendar-of-Events/Winter-Market.
