BALTIMORE - Oct. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Baltimore Comic Con – from the beginning and still at its core comic-centric – this year celebrated its 15th anniversary, a point of particular pride and perhaps astonishment to its founder, Marc Nathan, owner of Cards, Comics and Collectibles in the Baltimore, Maryland, beltway community of Reistertown.

Thousands enjoyed marquee-name artists, writers, publishers, innovators, creators past and present who graced an inspired slate of panels. As well, movie and television actors and character interpreters – each in some way related to a comic-based production – extended the affair. The Artists Alley and Dealers Room, covering the cavernous basement, formed the pivot point for the entire affair, swarming with fans poring over new publications, back issues, posters, limited edition collectibles, wearable art, DVDs, the tangible remembrances and public expressions of affinity. “What I like about it is it’s very artist and writer driven,” said one vendor. “Where else do you see people waiting in line for two hours to meet an artist? We have some dedicated fans here.”

A detailed rendering of the multi-color tapestry that defines Baltimore Comic Con is now available at PopConMania.com, the vibrant web site that details the exuberance of popular culture conventions in America.

Popular conventions — whether based around comics, TV shows, movies, Japanese anime, modern music or whatever defines pop culture — resound as important, insightful and integral parts of life for millions around the globe.  And the celebrations at conventions worldwide reverberate with the unbridled joy and relevancy of those culturally individual pieces that have become fused to the whole of our collective consciousness.  On PopConMania.com reside reviews of recently attended pop cons, reposts of related goings-on and musings about pop culture as read, written and remembered by Mark Walston, award-winning writer, historian and creative director.  His viewpoint focuses on the fan, not the cynic.  He looks for the positive in each gathering.  He searches for respect and relationships among pop culture aficionados.
