Tangram Fury Animals Puzzle Book Has Launched

CEDAR HILLS, Utah - Oct. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Peepsock Press announced today the tenth in the line of themed Tangram Fury tangram puzzle books, the “Tangram Fury Animals Book”.  A tangram is a 7-piece ancient Chinese puzzle whose pieces initially form a square, but can be rearranged to form 1000’s of other intriguing shapes.  This new book is intended for those puzzle-enthusiasts who enjoy solving tangrams.  These printed books have paperback covers, are 9”x6” in size, and have 133 pages.

“The Tangram Fury Animals Book” pays homage to critters of all sizes and shapes.  The puzzles range from insects to dinosaurs and several animals in between.

“When I first learned of tangrams, it seemed a good number of them were either cats or rabbits,” Doug Nufer, designer of the tangram puzzles and author of the Tangram Fury Animals Book said.  “This book includes one or two of those, but mostly it includes other animals.  There’s a praying mantis, designed by my daughter who is terrified of those little critters.  I think she just doesn’t trust them.  But, there’s also a panda, a bear, an elephant, and several others.  I even made a frog tangram in honor of the many frogs I used to catch as a kid in the Peepsock Creek, not far from my home in Houghton, Michigan.  That’s the same creek that our company, Peepsock Press, is named after.  Actually, I also lived on Peepsock Road, which was also named for the creek, so technically, Peepsock Press was named for both the creek and the road.”

In addition to information regarding the origin and fundamentals of tangrams, the Tangram Fury Animals Book includes many puzzles to solve.  As with the other Tangram Fury Puzzle Books, this book includes a pattern of a tangram to use for solving the puzzles.

The main section of the book is followed by a bonus section that includes cards for a tangram matching game.  Each book in the series includes a set of cut-and-play cards that can be combined with those of the other books to create an expanding deck of cards.  The cards are also arranged in the book such that they could be photocopied onto colored paper and used with the original Tangram Fury competitive puzzle game.
