BELMAR, N.J. - Oct. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- (BELMAR, NJ) — The latest issue of New Jersey Stage digital magazine celebrates Halloween with a look back at each film in the Halloween franchise.  Each film is critically reviewed and presented along with its original film trailer, providing a unique look at how the story has evolved (and sometimes devolved) over the decades.

Additional highlights include features on Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull on his new rock opera, indie-musician Mike June, playwright Andrea Clinton (Murphy’s Law: Group Therapy Gone Wild), concert photography of Bob Beucler, candles of Asbury Park, and the play Charlie Victor Romeo (CVR) which takes actual transcripts from black box recordings of airplanes in disaster situations.

In addition, there are previews of professional theatrical productions hitting the stage this month,  the annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival in Newark, and the Teaneck International Film Festival, which turns 10 this year.

With its daily website (http://www.NewJerseyStage.com) and monthly magazine (http://www.NJartsMag.com), New Jersey Stage has played a major role in providing arts coverage throughout the Garden State during a time in which many newspapers are cutting back or dropping coverage.  But the magazine doesn’t just continue arts coverage, it breaks new ground.  By combining the look and feel of a traditional magazine with the features of the Internet (interactivity, audio, video, social media), New Jersey Stage lets the arts come alive.

“For years, I’ve written about music,” said Gary Wien, publisher of New Jersey Stage.  “But now I’m able to let readers hear the music I’m writing about.  I’m able to let them see trailers of the films being featured and show them videos of related topics to help tell the story behind the story.  The arts is all about creativity and I believe magazines should be creative as well.”

All issues of New Jersey Stage are available for free at http://www.njartsmag.com.  Issues are readable on any PC, tablet, or smart phone.  The magazine can also be downloaded and read offline.
