Follow on Google News | Attorney David Silverstein Gearing Up for Adventure RaceBy: Lependorf & Silverstein, P.C. About The Edge Adventure Race Adventure racing is a sport where people (or teams) race to complete a course in a set amount of time. No two races are ever the same, but they all follow these same rules: they’re multi-sport, they’re timed, and you need to find your own direction. Let’s break these rules down. Almost every adventure race includes a mountain biking section. Other things you’ll see on the course will send racers climbing rocks, paddling canoes, or do anything else the race directors throw at them. Races have a cut-off time. It is a race, after all. And, lastly, you need to know how to use a map and a compass. Adventure races are kind of like off-road triathlon, so knowing how to get from point A to B without a Smartphone is a big help. The adventure race Mr. Silverstein is participating in is pretty tough. Competitors will have 6 hours to complete the 20 mile course at Trenton’s Washington Crossing State Park. The Edge Adventure Race on October 18 will feature: · 5 miles of running, trekking, orienteering · 10 miles of mountain biking · 5 miles of canoe paddling Good luck to Attorney David Silverstein on the race. Everyone at the firm of Lependorf & Silverstein, P.C. will be ready with ice packs Monday morning.
