Andy Olson Named General Manager of Trine Aviation Services

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Oct. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Trine Aerospace & Defense announced that Andy Olson has joined the company as general manager of Trine Aviation Services.

         Olson will assume responsibilities for Trine’s FAA Part 145 aircraft maintenance and modification business and will be based at the company's operational headquarters at Colorado Springs (KCOS) airport. Olson will report directly to Lee Taylor, the company's chief operations officer.

         "We are pleased to have an experienced executive the caliber of Andy Olson join our team," said Trine president and CEO Britt Ham.  "His skills and corporate aviation maintenance experience complement our existing staff and he provides the management and leadership depth to support growth and expansion with our private sector customer base.  Andy has an extensive track record of 30 years dealing with all aspects of maintenance management on Learjet, Citation, Falcon, Phenom, and Hawker aircraft.

         Discussing his new appointment, Olson said, "I am excited about the future of our company particularly as it moves into heavier jet maintenance which is my background."

         Olson began his aviation career at Duncan Aviation in 1986.  He moved to West Star Aviation in Grand Junction, CO in 1997.  He was instrumental in developing the Learjet Maintenance Program at West Star and was directly involved with the heavy maintenance on all model Learjets including but not limited to 12 year and 12,000 hour inspections.  He has been involved with over 70 heavy checks on the Learjet 20 Series, 30 Series, 40 Series, 55 and 60 Series aircraft.

         Trine Aviation Services offers engineering, parts manufacturing, avionics modification and heavy maintenance on general aviation and commercial aircraft.  Services include major alteration and major repair design, fabrication, analysis and FAA-DER engineering approvals.  Other services include 24 monthRVSM/Pitot Static System Inspection, 24 month IFR transponder certification, and VFR transponder inspections.  Trine is authorized dealer for Garmin International, Genesys Aerosystems, Avidyne, Aspen Avionics, and Technisonic Communications.
