By: Art in Motion CrossWinds Jazz Band was formed in November 2000 with a dream and a single donation. Considered one of the top instrumental groups in North Texas, CrossWinds Jazz Band attracts top local musicians. Sharing a passion for producing big band and jazz favorites, this group is well known for their high caliber of music, as well as an extremely high level of musicianship. The music includes dance and swing styles from the big band era of Glen Miller and The Count Basie Orchestra to the modern Big Band Jazz sounds of Gordon Goodwin, Maynard Ferguson, Stan Kenton, and The Tonight Show Band, just to name a few.
