EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Oct. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Author Lanea Stagg has again combined her passion for writing and art in a soon-to-be-released children’s book, Little Dog About Town: An Evansville “Tail.” The new book is a sequel to her “kid-dult” publication, Little Dog in the Sun, which came out in late fall 2014. Once again, Evansville artist Jon Fuchs has created stunning original watercolor images for the book, which feature beloved Evansville sites.

Little Dog in the Sun told the true story of how adopting a puppy (Ava) helped to heal Stagg’s painful loss of a friend. The story in Little Dog About Town originated from when Stagg’s own children were small and would spot stray dogs around Evansville, IN, and it continues the series’ theme of pet adoption. This books follows Ava’s “tail” as she searches the city for her canine best friend, Schnitzel. On her mission, Ava encounters many notable landmarks in Evansville including Mesker Park Zoo, the Gerst Haus, The Old Courthouse, the Pagoda, Bosse Field and more. An “all cities” version of the book will be released in early 2016.

Little Dog About Town can be pre-ordered for $10 (includes shipping and a free print from the book) at: www.reciperecords.com/store

Both Lanea Stagg and Jon Fuchs are available for interviews. Additionally, they invite schools, children's organizations, and animal adoption agencies to request book readings and potential fundraising opportunities. Plus, engagements are always a blast with the stars of the books:  Ava and Schnitzel! They are available for “signings” as well.

Lanea Stagg currently resides in Southern Indiana where she and her husband raise their eight children. The author gives programs to civic and other groups for each of her books. In her spare time she conducts cooking classes for children. She was also a featured cast member in Evansville’s inaugural production of the nationally acclaimed "Listen To Your Mother Show."
