ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Oct. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Annapolis Shakespeare Company announces a special Press Night for Shakespeare's "AS YOU LIKE IT" on Saturday, October 17th at 8:00 p.m. The performance will be followed by a VIP reception at 49 West Coffeehouse and Wine Bar with the Director, Cast and Design Team.

Shakespeare’s "AS YOU LIKE IT", one of the Bard's most beloved comedies about flirtation, friendship and mistaken identities, takes a lighthearted look at the fickle and passionate nature of love. Director Sally Boyett sets the production in the 1930s in the Cumberland Gap region of the Appalachian mountains with nostalgic bluegrass music performed by the cast, an ensemble of eight seasoned professional actors. Teresa Spencer and Jonathan Feuer star as Rosalind and Orlando, true lovers who must find their way back to each other in the delightful madness of the forest. Broadway veteran Richard Pilcher plays the 'Melancholy Jaques’ among other roles.

Recent directing credits for ASC include 'POE', 'A Tale of Two Cities', 'The Two Gentleman of Verona', 'The Servant of Two Masters', 'Sense and Sensibility', 'Macbeth', 'The Schemings of Scapin', 'Hamlet', 'Much Ado About Nothing', 'Tartuffe', 'Pride and Prejudice', 'Cymbeline', 'The Comedy of Errors', 'Romeo and Juliet', 'The Taming of the Shrew', 'As You Like It' and others.
