Sacred Heart School names Lindsay Briggs as English Instructor

KINGSTON, Mass. - Oct. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12, today announced that Lindsay Briggs has joined the faculty as an English instructor.

As such, Briggs will teach Basic English, 9th grade Introduction to Literature and serve as moderator/teacher of the Journalism course.  She also oversees the school newspaper “The Heart Beat.”

Briggs received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Stonehill College and her Massachusetts Secondary Certification in English from Bridgewater State University.

Prior to joining Sacred Heart, Briggs was a student teacher at Carver Middle/High School and a substitute teacher at Sacred Heart, her alma mater.  She also substituted at Middleboro High School.

Her journalistic experience includes an internship with The Brockton Enterprise and as a reporter for several area newspaper outlets.

Briggs is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English; the International Reading Association and the International Society for Technology in Education.
