Oct. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- MV PANAFRICA, LTD. a United Kingdom Corporation, in collaboration with the government of NORTHEN POVRINCE, SIERREA LEONE will redevelop state-owned land within the region of Northern Province, Sierra Leone.  The project area is primarily low density, low-rise residential uses with local retail and services scattered at various locations along most of Northern Sierra Leone, which is comprised of the following Districts: Bombali, Port Loko, Kambia, Koinadugu and Tonkolili.

One of the goals of MV PANAFRICA is to make the NORTH PROVINCE, SIERRA LEONE more accessible, the region has ranges of mountains, hills, valleys and wetlands and as its known as one of the main tourist attracted places in the north. The Outamba-Kilimi National Park and other points in the region can be more accessible for commerce and a foundation for strong infrastructure growth along with future economic development. Currently many towns have unpaved roads they can be as long as 25 miles or 40.2 kilometers, but unlike paved roads, dirt roads are very prone to erosion. This is problematic because sediment can pollute waterways. Ecologist has linked unpaved roads and poorly managed construction sites to the degradation of streams.

Mr. Michael Manssenya of MV PANAFRICA LTD. states, “When the silt, the clay, and other fine particles – come off the roads, they can smother the habitats and animals alike. The second yet and more important component to our group in-keeping with governmental concerns is during dry periods there is a direct link to respiratory health, overall health within areas having unpaved roads in moderate-high traffic regions. The chemicals used to keep dust down can have additional ecological or health effects.”

Although the price tag for the road infrastructure is projected to come in at $62,000,000.00 US Dollars and take 5 years to complete. Mr. Massenya has also made it a mission to work directly with local tradesmen and labor groups to close the loop and allow the community to have an invested interest in the construction that affects thousands directly. The communities view is clear, this project is a positive addition to increasing commerce within the region and addressing the needs of job creation.
