“Politics After Dark” Hosts DNC Young Professional Kick-off Reception w/Debbie Wasserman Schultz

ATLANTA - Oct. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- On October 1, 2015, The DNC Young Professional kick-off reception will be held at newly launched M Bar upscale bar/lounge on historic Auburn Ave. The reception will be hosted by TJ Copeland, Adrienne White, Nicole Leffer, Xavier Peoples and the buzzworthy #PoliticsAfterDark along with DNC Committee Chair, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Fmr S.C. State Rep and CNN Contributor Bakari Sellers. The event is open to the public and will take place from 6pm - 8:30pm.

#PoliticsAfterDark is the brainchild of Xavier Peoples, a proud Millennial who wanted to create a space and place where young established professionals i.e. Gen X and Millennials could congregate to discuss their mutual interests of entertainment, social justice and political interests but engage socially while being informed and educated on the issues that directly impact their generation. As a result and after only a short-time, it has attracted the likes of the Democratic National Committee and its leaders to host the kick-off reception in Atlanta.

M Bar is committed to and leading the task to revitalize the historic Sweet Auburn district deemed the “Auburn Renaissance” and Xavier Peoples and his partners at M Bar Atlanta are helping to lead that task. The City of Atlanta presented a Proclamation on August 5th because of their commitment to hiring ex felons and mentoring young black men and be a positive example.

Xavier Peoples explains, “I’m honored to partner with the DNC. When I launched ‘Politics After Dark’, I imagined it would be something that national figures would seek out to reach the heart of progressive and established African-Americans for their affluence and influence. When I got the call from the DNC, my dream came true.”
