New LeapForward Business Consortium To Serve Small and Mid-Sized Companies in NC's Research Triangle

By: TCS Lean and Trimount Communications

RALEIGH, N.C. - Oct. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- The new LeapForward Business Consortium (LFBC) will act as a continuous improvement springboard for small- and mid-sized companies that want to reach the next stage of growth in their development. Serving businesses within North Carolina’s Research Triangle, LFBC will show member companies the best ways to solve problems, as well as reduce waste and become more efficient while improving the quality of their products and services.

Limited Membership

Unlike large consortiums with dozens of participating companies, LFBC is limited to a core group of 5 to 10 members. LFBC is managed by dedicated consultants—not consortium volunteers—who are committed to assisting LeapForward member companies become more successful.

As change agents, LFBC consultants help members overcome barriers to growth while reducing employee anxiety and resistance to disruptions in workplace procedures. LFBC utilizes continuous-improvement techniques including Lean/Six Sigma methods as well as executive communications and leadership development services to manage change in a timely fashion and ensure a smooth transition within participating businesses.

LFBC Lifecycle

The LFBC program is a condensed version of the original LeapForward program which takes 16 weeks to complete and focuses on various problems within an individual client company. The condensed program lasts 10 weeks and  focuses on a single problem common to most companies, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) or the amount of time a company takes to collect its accounts receivables.

Company representatives will meet weekly, rotating among member locations to gain a better understanding of each other’s needs. Working together, participants learn a 5-step, problem-solving method which can be applied to DSO as well as a range of other problems encountered in every business setting from manufacturing to service industries.

Range of Services

LFBC is an off-shoot of the LeapForward Continuous Improvement program created by TCS Lean and Trimount Communications to help companies meet customer expectations in an increasingly competitive business climate. In addition to providing consulting services including Lean/Six Sigma methods and executive communications and leadership development services, the consortium offers companies access to financial planning as well as legal and marketing services beyond the basic LFBC membership.
