Oct. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- New York, NY — Sound Affects today announced the launch of a new, redesigned version of its website, http://www.soundaffects.org. Key upgrades of the site include a cleaner and more attractive design, a more engaging user experience and a bold mission statement: OUR WAR ON CANCER DEPENDS UPON THE POWER AND PASSION OF PEOPLE AND MUSIC. Sound Affects is new a 501(c)3 organization that employs crowdfunding to help advance new cancer fighting technologies. To reach the crowd, Sound Affects strategically partners with independent, emerging musical artists to help raise awareness and funds.

For the month of October, Sound Affects is crowdfunding a new breast cancer diagnostic that promises to identify those women who will likely be cured of their disease without having to undergo chemotherapy treatment. This is a huge advance because it would spare thousands of women from the unnecessary risks and costs of chemo, which makes all women sick. Funds raised will be used to pay for the acquisition of breast cancer tissue needed for trials.

Through crowdfunding contributions, Sound Affects’ goal is to empower people to become part of a movement to translate more promising cutting-edge cancer technologies into actual solutions in the clinic that stand to benefit individuals and society at large. Too many potential cures for cancer disappear in a funding bottleneck. Sound Affects is changing this.

"We believe the public has genuine passion in shaping a more innovative approach to fighting cancer. Our mission is to increase promising treatments in the pipeline by empowering individuals to directly support campaigns that are actively working on groundbreaking solutions for cancer.” –Mona Jhaveri, Sound Affects Founder and Director.

Sound Affects holds intimate live shows highlighting the wealth of talent keen to support the Sound Affects cause. Sound Affects is proud to announce that King Cavalli and Prince Harvey will be headlining Music Mezcal on Tuesday October 20th at 86 Orchard St, New York, NY.  A special event and one not to be missed. The show will feature a raffle draw to see Janet Jackson VIP Live in Chicago. Raffle tickets are open to the nation and can be purchased at http://soundaffects.org/events/
