Author Dominique L. Watson Releases her first mystery and suspense novel!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Oct. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Author Dominique L. Watson does something most authors don't try to do; she has stepped into a new genre with a new book and new series. Dominique has always been a lover of the whodunit. She loves to watch TV shows like Law and Order or Blue Bloods. Her favorite author is James Patterson and her favorite genre to read is mystery and suspense. She decided a few years ago that she wanted to publish in the genre. "I was watching one of my favorite tv shows and the idea, the plot for th storyline, came to me. It was then that I started getting into the flow of the story." Author Dominique L. Watson tells us.

Her first book in this genre is called Murder for Justice. She has created a female detective, Scarlett Fry, with bright red hair that has a passion for protecting and serving her city of San Diego. "I lived in San Diego for five years so it was easy to write a character from there. Many of the places I list, I have been to." Dominique says.

Murder for Justice starts off with a prologue that has readers at the edge of their seats. Kendall Harris is murdered and found by his daughter. The case looks like an open and shut case to Scarlett. In her heart she knows who the killer is but lacks evidence to place the killer at the scene. Eventually the case takes a turn for the worst and Scarlett is forced to push the case back. But when Scarlett's own suspect comes up dead, Scarlett is forced to start back at the drawing board bringing out a vicious serial killer.

Dominique explains that she did a lot of homework on this case. A lot of things she had to learn in order to write about. "I did have to do a lot of research. Especially for crime scenes. I have never been in a morgue. I've never talked to a medical examiner so I had to literally go to school to get the info I needed to write my book. It was exciting but also one of the biggest challenges of my career.

Murder for Justice is the first book in the Scarlett Fry series. It's releases today October 20th, 2015. Dominique says she's already started working on book two of the series. "I'm going to write Scarlett whether she flies or fails. I love her. I'd watch her on TV. I'd go see her in a movie. Plus this genre lives in me so no matter what the fans say, Scarlett and I will have a long standing relationship for many years to come."
