CARLISLE, Pa. - Oct. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- The 2015 season for Carlisle Events was one for the record books and one of changes too.  A handful of shows were the all-time biggest of their type or close to it and Carlisle Events as a company reorganized a bit, condensing its schedule from 13 events to 11.  Ultimately, the event that started it all 41 years ago is still just as popular as ever and that’s why this year’s Fall Carlisle event still drew over 90,000 guests and saw folks onsite from around the world.  The swap meet, car corral, auction and all new North Side Collector’s Corner provided a bevy of can’t miss features, with each on full display as the Pennsylvania based schedule concluded for Carlisle Events.

Shopping started early within the swap meet as vendors were onsite starting Monday, setting up and visiting one another in advance of the influx of guests arriving Wednesday.  Once the gates opened, it was non-stop wheeling and dealing.  Items varied from the simple to the rare and the onsite parts hauling service was busy from sun up to sun down helping guests take their items from the grounds to their cars.  In addition, classics were a popular draw too, as thousands of them spanning automotive history were positioned from south to north on the east side of the grounds.  While these cars were for sale, they also made for a great car show for everyone to check out, view, review and snap photos of.

Saturday hosted a little get together in the evening to recognize the vendors.  This included complimentary food and drinks and was the second year for a vendor party.

Finally, what would Fall Carlisle be without its popular car auction?  As previously mentioned, Carlisle Auctions supported this aspect of the weekend and did so with amazing results.  Nearly 400 cars crossed the block with 56% of them actually being sold.  The Fall 2015 offering garnered $3.4 million in sales, the most ever for a Fall Auction and even raised over $30,000 for charity along the way.  Cars were priced to move too as rides sold from the low four figures to six figure range.  Of those sales, a 1935 Packard was the top seller, going for $120,000, while a 1967 original Corvette came in second at $100,000.  The rest of the top five included a ’70 Challenger ($78,000), ’65 Corvette ($71,000) and a ’58 Corvette ($57,000).  Each sales price mentioned includes all fees associated with the auction.

With Fall Carlisle in the bag along with its auction, Carlisle Events turns its attention to Lakeland, Florida and its all new Fall Florida AutoFest event.  This event, much like Spring and Fall Carlisle, is a home for all things automotive and is where thousands of guests come to buy, sell and trade.  There are activities, guests like the legendary Burt Reynolds, helicopter rides, thrill shows and more.  Fall AutoFest runs November 12-15, with the auction taking place November 13-14.  For information on the auction or to secure a vending space, call 717-243-7855 or visit www.CarlisleEvents.com.
