JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Oct. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Highlighted by keynote speakers Dr. Douglas Holtz-Eakin, president of the American Action Forum, and motivational speaker Pegine Echevarria, the third annual First Coast Manufacturers Association (FCMA) Summit will begin on October 7 and continue to October 9 at the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida.

Each year, FCMA gathers various speakers to discuss issues that include topics involving best business practices, lean manufacturing principles, ISO certifications, import/export issues, engaging tomorrow’s workforce, healthcare updates and political activities.

Activities begin on October 7 with the Excellence in Manufacturing Awards that night, where area manufacturers are recognized for outstanding performance over the year. A strategic planning session and then speakers and discussion groups will continue on the 8th and 9th. In addition to the speakers and discussion groups, there will be trade exhibits and networking opportunities.

The Summit, which has been called “the meeting of manufacturing minds,” is a sellout this year. “This is a very unique event for manufacturers in North Florida,” reported Blair Wygle, chairman of the 2015 Summit committee. “We have established a setting that brings value to the manufacturing community that is not available anywhere else. As a result, it is getting more popular every year.”
