Bob Bemis Joins the RPR Business Technologies Team

CHICAGO - Oct. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Realtors Property Resource® (RPR®), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Association of REALTORS®, announced today that Bob Bemis has joined RPR as Vice President of Business Technologies. In this capacity, Bob will be responsible for managing the implementation and rollout of RPR’s Advanced Multi-List Platform™ or AMP™.

Bob is a twenty-six year veteran of the real estate industry. He has been most prominent in recent years in senior management positions with the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, the Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS), the Arizona Regional MLS (ARMLS), and Zillow. He has served on numerous MLS boards, committees, and task forces, and was named by Inman News as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Real Estate in 2011 and again in 2013.

Bob has been working with RPR as a consultant since 2013 and tasked with assessing the future evolution of MLS technology.  Bob has been working with multiple groups of MLS leadership who have been interested in a common industry-standard database designed to work with various user interfaces, or front-ends. Bob developed the concept of the The Evolving MLS, and has published numerous articles about the benefits to be derived from disconnecting the database from the user’s applications. Since 2014, Bob has worked closely with RPR senior staff as the point of contact for MLSs interested in exploring and offering feedback on this potentially new MLS architecture.
