Ihg Colleagues Across India Hotels & Corporate Office Participate In Week-long Event To Raise Fund

DELHI, India - Oct. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Delhi, India, 2015: Colleaguesacross InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG®) (http://www.ihgplc.com/)corporate office and hotels in India took part in IHG Race Around the World (http://www.ihgshelterinastorm.com/ihg-race-around-the-world.aspx), an event that aims to raise awareness and funds for the global hotel company’s disaster relief programme, IHG® Shelter in a Storm (http://www.ihgshelterinastorm.com/).

The company encouraged its colleagues from all over the world to participate in as many activities as possible during the week-long event. Close to 650 colleagues from IHG’s corporate office in Gurgaon, and hotels including Crowne Plaza Greater Noida and Crowne Plaza Kochi responded by participating in a walkathon.

The team from the recently opened Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park also helped to clean up a public park near the hotel in conjunction with IHG’s year-long commitment to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a national campaign initiated by the Indian government to work towards a “Clean India” by 2019.

With IHG making a donation for each act of participation, activities organised by IHG's hotels and corporate office in India raised money for IHG Shelter in a Storm in the process.

The IHG Walkathon was not only great fun; it also motivated and engaged our colleagues while raising money for a fantastic cause.”
