MEBANE, N.C. - Nov. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Get ready for an amazing show of ten artists' artworks in a plethora of mediums. There will be jewelry, paintings in oil, acrylic and cold wax & oil, encaustics, enamels, collage, clothing, scarves, sculptures, fiber art, metal work, pottery, photography and delicious chocolates.

Along with Jill Troutman, artists showcased include Martha Hamblin, Milton Hall, Sherwood Hill, Jude Lobe, Pat Scheible, Betty Tyler and Seagrove potters, Stephanie Martin and Jeff Dean.

Jill TROUTMAN is a classically taught artist. At 45, Troutman decided to pursue an art career. She quit her job when she was top in her field and attended art schools in New York, France and Italy then applied her marketing skills to being a successful artist.

Last year Jill sold over 80 pieces of original art. Her art is in every major medical center in North Carolina, private doctors' and dentists' offices and legions of private homes throughout the United States. She has licensed her images, which have been sold in Bloomingdales in NYC and national gift catalogs including Plow and Hearth and Lillian Vernon.

Matthew's CHOCOLATES from Hillsborough, NC, will have their beautiful  handcrafted and handmade dark Belgian chocolates artfully decorated all wrapped for gift giving. They are beautiful to look at, and just as divine to eat. See more about Matthew Shepherd here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDnFt5yz-uk

Martha HAMBLIN works in photography, hand-built pottery and mixed-media. While much of her photography has been documentary in style, she delights in looking at and representing the world through abstract, altered and creative images. Recent photo work has been largely imaged-based mixed media. She says, "Using mixed media stretches me creatively and allows for expanded interpretation of a subject or an experience."

Hamblin's pottery arose in her search of a more tactile creative experience which she has developed through hand-building pottery. Her pottery utilizes different textures and a relaxed approach to making clay pieces.

Milton HALL's works of paper-mache sculptures of musical instruments combines two of his joys of life, art and music. He taught high school visual art in the Alamance-Burlington Schools and drawing and illustration at Alamance Community College. He continues teaching art in his home studio.

Sherwood HILL considers himself a "creative spirit" rather than an artist and gains satisfaction from the creative process regardless of the medium. Hill elaborates, "I make everything I do a creative endeavor, whether developing a spreadsheet at my day job, experiments with wood in the dye pot or working through a design for a bracelet. I have developed a unique style and method that doesn't follow the rules." Hill creates beautiful weavings, and hand-dyed scarves as well as jewelry where he works in copper and semi-precious stones.

Jude LOBE works in oil, cold wax & oil, encaustic and enamel. All of her works are inspired by nature's unrelenting qualities of rejuvenation and renewal. Lobe turned to Cold Wax & Oil, because it allowed her to show a history of a painting. The process is one of addition and subtraction, adding layer after layer of texture and color, then scratching, scraping and removing  parts of layers to reveal what is beneath. As she explains, "It is symobolic of our lives in which we are a compilation of the bits and pieces of the experiences we have traveled."

Pat SCHEIBLE will have her Artsy Wear fashions and art. "Before I was a professional artist and decorative painter, I was a research scientist. Thank goodness that phase is over! Now I'm doing what I was born to do--transform everything that passes through my hands into something never before seen. I create upcycled clothing, mostly jackets, and upcycled jewelry, mostly necklaces. Color is my muse. I hope that you will enjoy these things as much as I enjoyed making them for you!"

Betty TYLER is inspired by the Old Masters. She considers herself a 'Southern Girl' who loves bright colors. People are her favorite subjects, but, she says, "abstract art gives me the opportunity to explore myself, color and design."

SEAGROVE Potters, husband and wife team Stephanie Martin and Jeff Dean will have there pottery on display. Their home and studio is located in Seagrove, NC. Jeff's work embodies strong sense of form. Stephanie utilizes any printmaking techniques to build the surfaces of her vessels.
