Master Barber DL Lyons shares secrets for a life of wealth and balance on MASTERS Audio Club

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - Oct. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Darrin Lyons, known to the hair world as “DL,” is an award-winning master barber, a celebrated motivational speaker, and a one-man Wikipedia of barbering knowledge and business savvy developed over the past 30 years. On his first day in barber college, at the Rosston School of Hair Design, he was recognized as a natural by the lead instructor, who told him, “You’ve got it!”

As a student, DL won first place in men’s hair styling in the prestigious Long Beach Hair Dressers Guild show, an award he won four more consecutive times before being invited to become an honorary judge. DL also won the International Beauty Show (IBS) award and was voted by his peers as the Spectrum International Beauty Expo (SIBE) Barber of the Year.

Fresh out of barber college at age 19, DL opened his first barbershop, Tangles and Locks in Pasadena, California. Before long, the shop was packed with customers waiting up to three hours to have the master himself do their hair, prompting DL to open three more shops over the next four years.

DL’s client list reads like a Who’s Who of Hollywood, including celebrities and athletes such as Sean “Puffy” Combs, Meshach Taylor, the late Heavy D, Ray Lewis, Stacey Augman,
Jay Leno, and The Tonight Show Band. His work has been prominently photographed in Vogue, American Salon, Vibe, and The Source, and he was the barber of choice for rap music’s biggest icons, Tupac and Biggie.

From life experiences and his years behind the barber chair, DL found his second calling: motivating others to achieve their life and financial goals. DL attributes his success to his mother, who taught him to work hard and never give up in reaching for his goals. DL is proud to be in a possition to help take care of his mother, having put her through Glendale College where she graduated a few years ago as one of the oldest valedictorians in the school’s history. DL is a true talent, gentleman, and modern-day Renaissance Man.
