The Bendy Pen, an Angle-adjustable Pen, Set to Launch via KickStarter this Fall

MONTREAL - Oct. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- One company is aiming to give the everyday pen a complete makeover – The Bendy Pen, which is scheduled to launch on Kickstarter in the coming weeks, was developed to make writing fun for kids and adults of all ages. The angle-adjustable pen can write up, down and sideways by using the forces of gravity and features an entirely new and patent-pending design. It was developed by two Inventors and Creative Thinking Catalysts, Vikram Swaminadhan and Gilles Boulanger from Montreal.

“Pens have not seen much innovation in the last few decades,” explains Swaminadhan. “As humans we tend to overcomplicate things – NASA and the space pen is a good example of this. At a cost of $1.5 million, NASA had the space pen developed to write in zero-gravity of space, but it never really caught on in the consumer market."

Boulanger adds, “We developed the Bendy Pen and use it to challenge assumptions, break rules and even turn them upside down. Then we attempt to solve the challenge – by combining what we know using an inventor’s formula.”

Depending on the level, Pledgers of the Kickstarter campaign will receive the Bendy Pen Inventors handbook, The Creation Formula, which is a simple formula to combine and invent new products and finally Creative Thinking modules – 10 methods with activities to spur creative thinking for kids and adults.

Pledgers will also have the first opportunity to buy first-edition Executive Bendy Pens for under $20. Supporters will also receive the Inventor’s handbook, The Creation Formula, and Creative Thinking Modules for free, along with helping bring the pen to production.

With hopes of raising $30,000 in 30 days, the pair has scheduled a provisional launch for the Bendy Pen Kickstarter campaign on October 14th, with an official launch slated for October 21st. If the campaign goal is reached, the creators expect to have the pen in production and shipped to pledgers sometime in April, 2016.
