COLD SPRING HARBOR, N.Y. - Oct. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- The eyes of the Queens real estate market were on Whitestone this week as Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty President and CEO Patricia J. Petersen announced that it has been selected as the exclusive sales and marketing team for “The Bridges at Whitestone.” So named because of the spectacular water-views encompassing Whitestone’s two landmark bridges, the property is the largest high-end single-family development currently under construction in Queens. Its size had made it a target for a lot of speculation, and now, much excitement.

Designed by renowned architect Frank Petruso, the 45 homes of The Bridges at Whitestone will range in size from 2,000 square feet to 3,750 square feet. “With over 6 acres to work with, we were really able to be creative,” said Petruso. “It is not often that a development of this size, with expansive water-views, comes along in Queens. My priorities were to maximize those views and to give each home a unique feel.”

The developer, Queens native Tim O’Sullivan of O’Sullivan Builders & Developers, has a long time relationship with the property, starting as a youngster on the tennis court at what was then the Cresthaven Country Club. “My real estate mentor always said, ‘Never fall in love with a property,’” Tim recalls, “but it was really hard not to fall in love with this property: the beautiful views, the surrounding community, the singular size of it.  Once we learned it was available, we really felt that this could be our opportunity to build a once-in-a-lifetime development.”   Priced at between $1.628 million and just over $2 million, these one-family detached dream homes feature those striking water views, top of the line finishes, all brick construction, covered patios and finished basements.  The Bridges’ location in School District 25 --consistently ranked among the top school districts in New York City – make this area one of Queens’ most sought-after neighborhoods.

State Senator Tony Avella echoed the enthusiasm of many Whitestone residents. “I’m glad that the development of the former Cresthaven Country Club into residential homes is moving ahead. From developer to architect, there has been an unwavering commitment to respect the uniform character of the surrounding community. The single-family brick homes constructed at this site will be a tremendous asset for Whitestone and residents will be relieved to find that the beautiful aesthetic of their neighborhood has been preserved.”

The Bridges at Whitestone has also been fortunate to have the support of the local Council Member Paul Vallone. “It’s rare for Whitestone to see responsible development that adheres to the context of the community,” said Council Member Vallone. “The soon-to-be-unveiled “Bridges at Whitestone” however, promises to add to the residential qualities that make Whitestone such a great place to live. I thank O’Sullivan Builders & Developers for respecting the character of this proud community and I look forward to the completion of this development.”

Patricia Moroney and Donna Rubertone, who work out of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Manhasset and Queens offices, will be in charge of sales, while the organization’s award-winning Marketing and Technology group, led by SVP James P. Retz, will be handling the marketing. According to Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Ms. Petersen, “This highly focused team approach creates a customized plan that integrates sales and marketing for optimum results.”

It’s an idea echoed by Tim O’Sullivan. “Daniel Gale has always impressed us with their professionalism. We trust them and they work hard - like we do. Plus, we like that whale logo.”
