By: PatrickScottPatterson.com Nintendo Quest, a film about a man's journey across North America in an attempt to obtain every classic Nintendo game cartridge in 30 days, released digitally earlier today. Veteran video game advocate and Denton native Patrick Scott Patterson appears throughout the film, including scenes filmed in downtown Denton. "I loved the concept the second it was pitched to me," Patterson said. "When I learned of their plans, I just had to take them around Denton to all the places where I have hunted for video game treasures in the past." In addition to scenes filmed at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, Patterson is seen in the film guiding central figure Jay Bartlett around the city. Eventually, the pair is seen on the lawn of the Denton City Courthouse, where Patterson grants him with a surprise to help Bartlett on his cartridge-collecting quest. Patterson has also filmed for other video game documentaries around the City of Denton. His scenes in 2014 film Pixel Poetry were filmed at Mad World Records and his scenes in World 1-1, released earlier this year, were also filmed in town. He recently wrapped shooting for another upcoming video game documentary, the New 8-Bit Heroes, at Denton gaming shop Freaks and Geeks. "Denton is a great city with an awesome style and heritage," Patterson added. "If there is a chance for me to show off what the city has to offer like this, I'm going to take it." Nintendo Quest can be purchased or rented digitally on Vimeo as of today, October 2, 2015.
