Domaille Engineering announces release of DE2600 OptiSpec® microscope

ROCHESTER, Minn. - Oct. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Rochester, MN, September 17, 2015 – Domaille Engineering LLC is proud to announce the release of the new OptiSpec® DE2600 microscope. When polishing optical fiber terminated with an MT/MPO connector, the abrasive film can leave material deposits in the guide pin holes.  This material can get transferred to the end of the fiber at installation causing return loss errors. In addition, the polishing sequence can cause scratching on the end face for the individual fibers which will also affect performance.  The DE2600 is the newest member of Domaille’s OptiSpec® microscope line and is designed to provide a method for quickly providing a visual inspection of an entire multifiber optical connector end face at 42x video magnification, plus it allows users to zoom in to visually inspect each individual fiber at 1184x video magnification.

“Numerous customers had requested a method to visually inspect an entire MPO endface for debris and also have the ability to check each individual fiber end face for scratches, without removing the connectors from the microscope” said VP of Business Development Dean Krueger. “The DE2600 should help improve our customer’s productivity by quickly screening for defects at both a macro and micro level.”

Our DE2600 accommodates all of the standard PC and APC Connectors including the entire MT Connector Series.
