LeTip International Names New President and COO

MESA, Ariz. - Sept. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Keeping small businesses alive is what motivates Douglas S. Christian, the new President and Chief Operating Officer of powerhouse networking organization LeTip International, Inc. Christian, who took over the helm as the growing organization’s third President on September 15, is passionate about expanding LeTip’s reach and leading its members to put more dollars back in their pockets.

Since it was founded in 1978, LeTip International has grown to become the world’s largest, privately owned, professional leads organization, helping more than 120,000 members build business success through personal referrals. It operates in 23 U.S. states as well as Ontario, Canada, and has been approved to conduct business in eight additional countries.

Christian was an ideal choice to lead the organization forward. In 2013, he was the first recipient of LeTip International’s National President Award for his leadership of the Westside Referrals Network. He took over the struggling chapter, expanding its membership from 17 to 78 in three years. He grew it to reach $3.8M in referral business in 2014 and has put its members on pace to achieve more than $5M in referrals for 2015. As LeTip International Owner and CEO Kim Marie Branch-Pettid stated, “It’s time the organization institutes the leadership Mr. Christian employs in his chapter nationwide.”

Christian plans to combine the business acumen he learned as an accountant with the consulting skills he later honed as an insurance agent to forge a more personal, back-to-basics approach. The organization changed its structure in July, eliminating regional directors in favor of District Vice Presidents to increase personal contact with members and build relationships. “As an insurance agent, what I did for a living had nothing to do with the products and services I sold. It was all about the relationships I had,” Christian explained. “My plan is to teach our leadership to be stronger, better, smarter and more efficient. We plan to help each member, each chapter, each city and each district one person at a time.” Christian’s passion and dedication to LeTip emanate from him. His new LeTip motto will be, “WE CARE ABOUT YOU,” and he plans to prove it to each member.

Christian’s vision for LeTip International includes overall expansion of the organization, establishing a reputation for giving back to the communities in which they serve, and educating members about how to use the group’s resources to better help themselves and each other. “Most of our members are solopreneurs. We want our members to be in business for themselves, but not by themselves. We want them to be in business with LeTip. LeTip allows you to be part of something, to be a resource for your clients by giving them access to professionals you see on a regular basis and have a real, personal relationship with,” he explained.

When asked why he left a thriving career as a Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative to lead LeTip, Christian responded, “I want to give back to the organization that has made such a difference in my life, in my career, for my family. I am blessed and it’s a good life. I have the luxury of helping LeTip International achieve the levels of success that they have helped me achieve personally. I want to give back and create something that will be a household name.
