Essentia Water Launches ‘Hydration Specialist’ Brand Ambassador Program in Chicago

Chicago-based influential fitness and wellness professionals to promote the importance of daily hydration

Allison English

A certified Forrest Yoga instructor, trained hands-on-healer and energy-worker in the practices of Forrest Yoga and Level II iRest Teacher, English has been teaching yoga for 13 years and studying intensely for 17 years. The creator of the award winning app Yoga+Travel (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/yoga+travel/id630781473?m...), she currently travels the world as a yoga presenter and consultant for Forrest Yoga. In addition to her regular classes and workshops in Chicago, she teaches throughout the United States, and leads international yoga retreats and conferences. She is known for her expert knowledge of the human body, the energetics of yoga, and her wicked sense of humor. English has appeared in such publications as SELF, Today’s Chicago Woman, and The Chicago Tribune. In 2008, she earned the title of “Best Yoga Instructor – Chicago” by The Chicago Reader.

Andrea Metcalf is one of Chicago’s top fitness experts with certifications in nutrition, personal training, Pilates, yoga and corrective exercise. She was a finalist for “Trainer of the Year” at the 2008 IDEA World Fitness Convention and travels the world speaking on health, fitness and hydration. A trusted fitness expert, Metcalf has been asked to speak at many notable conferences including the NBC Healthy Living Expo in Chicago and Los Angeles, as well as the Women’s Dream Conference, and many more. She has made dozens of TV appearances, including the Steve Harvey Show, NBC Today Show and BetterTV, and has been an expert to the media for publications like Self, More, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Oprah.com, The Huffington Post and Reuters, sharing her tips, research and secrets of living healthier everyday. Hydration is an important issue to her; “hydrate to concentrate” is one of her main health mantras, stating performance is at its peak when one is hydrated.

Bonnie Micheli and Tracy Roemer are longtime neighbors and friends who in 2011 turned their passion for fitness into Shred415 fitness studio located in Lincoln Park. They quickly became known as ‘Bonnie and Tracy’ and with more than 20 years experience between them, have taught at Shred415’s seven locations: Chicago’s Lincoln Park, Hinsdale, Old Town, North Shore, South Loop, Wicker Park, as well as in St. Louis, Mo. Micheli and Roemer have been profiled by numerous publications and blogs including CS Magazine, Chicago Magazine, Vogue.com, Fox News, WGN News and USA Today. They emphasize the importance of hydration to all their clients as well as making it an important part of their lives.

Micheli began teaching group exercise in 2008 and is a certified personal trainer by the American Council of Exercise. After extensive training in college, she began experimenting with workout programming, alternating between cardiovascular work and strength training.

Roemers’ fitness career spans more than 15 years on the West Coast and in Chicago. She’s worked as managing director of a club with five fitness centers in San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles, served as director of weight loss and nutrition for a large national gym, and was the general manager of a boutique gym in Chicago known for its personal training.
