NEW DELHI - Sept. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- FIFI promotes, encourages and supports food importers from India with the global view towards development and facilitation of trade. With the global perspective to improve manifold growth to the general trade leading to improved GDP, this forum’s prime concern is development and upgradation of the Food & Beverages market in India. FIFI liaises with various government agencies to undertake a review of Import Policy Regulations and Food Labelling laws in order to reduce the regulatory burden on food importers without compromising the State Revenue.

Not everybody understands the essence of the tenet that an ideal situation is where everyone wins. The mostly forgotten statement ‘From each according to his ability; to each according to his need’ is as true today as the day it was coined. FIFI believes in an ethical approach to society where every individual needs to take just one step forward which translates into a giant leap for mankind. Putting their money where their mouth is, and not limiting itself to enhancing this premier organisation’s phenomenal internal growth, FIFI has done more than its bit towards the society at large. To create a win-win situation for everyone concerned, and aiding in all-round development of society, this aptly named Voice of Indian food Importers has donated a cheque of Rs 6,50,000 to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund on 22nd September 2015 to provide relief to the victims of the Nepal Earthquake. FIFI founder Director Mr. Amit Lohani, Mr. Pankaj Singhal & Mr. Uday Chugh were part of the delegation that met Mr. PK Bali (Under Secretary) PMO along with FIFI Secretary Mr. Durgesh Sharma. Mr. Bali congratulated the FIFI team for their efforts on behalf of the Prime Minister’s office and lauded the spirit of FIFI Members. On the Occasion Mr. Lohani stated that “It’s imperative upon individual and organisation to contribute to the causes of society. This travesty of nature in Nepal has left many of our brother and sisters in great distress. Our members have also sent hygiene kits, blankets, generic medicine earlier though the embassy of Nepal.”

For the people of Nepal, instant trigger help has come, done its bit and gone. Now, the survivors are coming to terms with the reality of the situation, this much needed financial assistance will bring into effect the grass root changes for infrastructural development. The Indian Government has an extremely responsible role in promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Asia and needs every bit of support available. It is organisations like FIFI who provide timely support, enabling India to maintain the status quo.

Leading from the front when it comes to CSR initiatives, this premier APEX organization operates in an altogether new environment. Breaking the shackles of complacency that had begun to set in, FIFI has brought into being newer paradigms vis-à-vis the changing demands and fashions of the consumer market. The writing on the wall is clear; food and beverage importers cannot plan on the basis of a long product life and innovation has become a critical factor for survival. Critical issues facing this industry include: increased levels of regulation in the form of quality, documentation; demands for variety and innovation; low profit margins; and shelf life management. FIFI is currently working in close coordination with FSSAI and MOFPI to facilitate smooth imports of F&B in India. FIFI is already associated with Trade organizations like ITA, SUSTA, Embassy of Poland, Belgium, Greece and numerous other organizations.

Keeping in mind the immense responsibility that this forum holds over the Indian importers, the Forum of Indian Food Importers’ bottom line is consumer health and safety. Hence, ethical growth is what FIFI promotes.
