ETC… Readers’ Theatre Opens 14th Season with “It’s About Time”

NAPLES, Fla. - Sept. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- NAPLES, FL-The Naples Players ETC…Readers’ Theatre will open its 14^th season with a trio of one act plays entitled “It’s About Time,” performed in the Tobye Studio on Sunday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5^th Avenue South in Naples. Tickets are $10.00 each and are available at the Naples Players Box Office, 701 5^th Avenue South, Naples or by calling 239-263-7990. The Box Office is open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It opens again one hour prior to curtain time. Please note that some plays contain strong language and may not be suitable for children.

         That Dream Vacation, about an airplane trip from hell, was written by Joe Moran and directed by Ron Wietecha.  Allayne Barnum, Bob Hill, Paula Keenan and Suzanne Lewin-Greenberg will act.

         Oedi, a comical, modern-day version of Oedipus Rex, written by Rich Orloff and directed by Victor Caroli, follows next and includes cast members Len Becker, Jan Byrne, Patti Caroli, Phil Cole and Thom Penberthy.

         Rounding out the afternoon of readings is Fight for the Future about the first-ever time traveler who learns that the future is nothing like he imagined. The play was written by Damian Trasler and directed by Annie Rosemond.  Cast includes Barbara Bonthron, Bob Kelly and Jennifer Travis.

         ETC…Readers’ Theatre offers on-stage opportunities for those with varying degrees of experience. The readings are performed without line memorization, props or blocking, in black costume, with limited rehearsals and script-in-hand presentation.
