Dr. Nelson Marquina to receive recognition for co-authored laser dentistry book in Japan

USA Laser Biotech Inc. is pleased to announce that Dr. Nelson Marquina, President of USA Laser Biotech Inc., will receive recognition for his contribution to the book Pain Relief and Healing with Lasers at award ceremonies in Osaka, Japan on November 15 and in Tokyo, Japan on November 22.  The award ceremonies are in conjunction with the release of the book he co-authored with some of Japan’s leading innovators in the field of craniofacial pain, including Dr. Katsuhiro Nakazawa, DDS, PhD.

The book is published by Dental Today in Tokyo, Japan and will be released in November. An English translation is in the works for release in the U.S.

In his writing for the book, Dr. Marquina drew upon his close work with Drs. Robert Gougaloff, DMD, MS, Paul Grussenmeyer, DMD, Edmund Lipskis, DDS, Brendan Stack, DDS, MS, and Joseph Tregaskes, DMD, MS, all recognized and well respected in the United States for biostimulative innovations in the areas of craniofacial pain, TMD, and periodontal tissue healing.

About the Book
Pain Relief and Healing with Lasers features the use of the Lumix 2-45W laser made by the premier medical device manufacturer Fisioline s.r.l. based in Verduno, Italy. Fisioline’s products are distributed in Japan and the United States by USA Laser Biotech. The book documents techniques and case studies of how the Lumix 2-45W is revolutionizing the treatment of craniofacial pain and periodontal disease for today’s dental health providers.

About Our Co-Author
Dr. Nelson Marquina, MSc, PhD, DC, is the president of USA Laser Biotech Inc. and a developer of biophotonic and bioelectromagnetic systems and treatment protocols.  He is the author of “Energy Medicine: Focus on Lasers”, a chapter on laser phototherapy in the CRC Press book The Scientific Basis of Integrative Medicine, Second Edition, released June 2009.

Dr. Marquina currently conducts seminars and research presentations in laser photobiomodulation and photobiology in Asia, the U.S. and in South America. He has taught biophysics, bioelectromagnetic medicine and artificial intelligence, as he served on the faculties of the University of Houston, the University of Rhode Island, the University of Minnesota, and the Virginia State University.

He is a former Senior Scientist at NASA/Johnson Space Center and former Director of Research at Logan University. He also held positions with GE, Honeywell and Lockheed Electronics in engineering development and management.

Dr. Marquina is an alumnus of Hamilton College, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the University of Houston, and Logan Chiropractic College.
