Taste of Bonita Seeks Restaurants, Amateur Chefs, Craft Vendors, Sponsors & Volunteers

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Sept. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon will host the 22nd annual Taste of Bonita on November 20 - 22 at Riverside Park on Old US 41 in Downtown Bonita Springs.  The group is now seeking participants for Saturday, November 21st for the Chili & Barbeque Cook-Off and restaurants for Sunday’s Taste of Bonita.   Saturday’s Cook-Off will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Restaurants will participate on Sunday only from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

         Open to all restaurants in Southwest Florida, the entry fee on Sunday is $350. Fifty percent of the first $3000 goes to the participating restaurant and the remaining fifty percent to the Rotary Club to support local and international charitable endeavors.  90% of sales over $3000 go to the restaurant.  Held every year in November, the Taste of Bonita now attracts over 20,000 attendees and is an opportunity for restaurants to showcase their cuisine and support their community.

         The Chili and BBQ Cook-off & Craft Fair on Saturday is open to individuals, clubs, organizations, or church groups.  Entry fees are $50 for chili, $100 for barbeque or $125 to enter both.  Participants keep 100% of all sales they generate.

         Craft vendors are also being sought for Saturday and sponsors for the event are also welcomed.  In addition to Taste of Bonita on Sunday and the Cook-Off & Craft Fair on Saturday, the weekend-long event includes an all new Wine Fest & Craft Beer Social on Friday from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Sanctum Soul, a Santana tribute band and a free concert Saturday Night with the Caribbean Chillers.
