Follow on Google News | Maps of Dreams and Memories - poetry by Eunice Barbara C. NovioThese poems represent not just occasions of craft or art - they are distillations of individual humanity. They are confessional, autobiographic, but also filled with a hard-fought and costly earned set of insights.

Dedication: To Caroline Nazareno and Ramil Digal Gulle, for inspiring me to write poetry. *** The Children and the Sea The children loved the sea, Once upon a time in their homeland Their footprints on the sand As they built castles on the shore, Hoping they would last long Like their innocence. The sea did not care, And washed away the castles Built by little hands, With so much joy and hope. The sea is calm now Hopes and dreams fade No more sandcastles No more innocent li’l hands Because the sea Washed them ashore. The sea is calm now, No more little footprints on the sand. *** A Stranger on the Beach My feet felt the sand once again, Kissed by the sea as I frolicked. I felt the heat from the shore, temporarily brought me back home, to the blue sea of my childhood, where my children practiced their steps as we guided them to walk. But this is not the sea of my childhood or a part of my life. I was just a passing stranger who left imprints on the sand. Author: http://www.aquillrelle.com/ To order: http://www.lulu.com/ End
